SculpSure Takes Down Stubborn Fat

Fat is stubborn like a two-year-old rolling around on the floor of the neighborhood Harris Teeter store after Mom denied his demand for a candy bar. No matter what you do, fat pockets in certain areas are incredibly difficult to target, much less have any impact on. You can remove pockets like this with liposuction, but that’s a surgical procedure and many people don’t want to do that.

What is SculpSure?
SculpSure can target multiple areas of the body in a single 25-minute procedure. Four flat non-suction applicators and contouring frames can be placed/adjusted to suit specific patient needs. SculpSure uses 1060nm wavelength laser energy that selectively targets adipose (fat) cells beneath the dermis layer of the skin. The system’s proprietary modulation delivers the energy into the fat layer, where it creates temperatures between 42 and 47 degrees Celsius within just four minutes. This controlled delivery of the heat energy destroys, on average, 24 percent of subcutaneous fat cells in the treatment area in just 25 minutes. Over time, the body’s lymphatic system eliminates those cells. Patients see results beginning in as little as six weeks, and showing optimal results in around three months.
Would SculpSure be right for me?
SculpSure isn’t a weight-loss procedure; it’s a body contouring procedure. It’s meant for patients who are within 10-20 pounds of their ideal weight. SculpSure targets and removes almost a quarter of the fat in areas that tend to stubbornly hold onto fat. Unlike liposuction, which is a surgical procedure, SculpSure doesn’t require any recovery time. Plus, unlike CoolSculpting, SculpSure’s four applicators can be customized better for certain more difficult areas.
Is SculpSure painful?
Since SculpSure delivers enough heat energy to destroy fat cells, you could think it would be painful. But the procedure is actually very comfortable. This is because SculpSure uses proprietary energy modulation, so the energy isn’t delivered continually. Plus, the applicators apply continuous contact cooling that keep the skin layers and the patient comfortable during the treatment. Immediately after your session, you can go back to your normal routine, as well. There is no downtime whatsoever. That’s cool, in a hot way!

How many treatments are needed?
