What to consider before SculpSure

You learned that diet and exercise can only sculpt your body to an extent – but kudos to you for making positive lifestyle changes that encourage more movement and a healthier eating plan. And so, you decided that you're ready for some kind of cosmetic surgery just to smooth trouble spots. After speaking with your chosen board-certified plastic surgeon, you have a few options, one of which is SculpSure, but there are a few more things to think about before getting the work done.

Can you handle no downtime?
SculpSure is a non-invasive treatment which means there is generally no recovery period,  according to the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS). So if you like wearing bandages, this may not be the treatment for you. All kidding aside, the ASPS noted that you can even go to the gym after a session; the skin may be pink and your muscles could feel a little sore, but no worse than if you had a hard training session or workout.

Can you be patient?
SculpSure on average may cost $1,000 to $1,600 depending on where you live, the source said. So you may have to save up and budget before your first treatment. Additionally, it will generally take 8 to 12 weeks to see full results, so you will have to wait for its full effect. That being said, the ASPS  did report that some patients were able to fit into a smaller pant size after one treatment, so it won't necessarily take years of repeat visits to smooth out your so-called trouble zones.

Can you expect a consultation?
Absolutely, said Healthline. In fact, speaking with a board-certified plastic surgeon and other health professionals is highly recommended before your first session. You will discuss your medical history and any medications you are taking just to be sure that nothing will interact with the procedure. Plus, you'll get all of your questions answered – and feel even more prepared to become your best self!
