FotoFacial-IPL® Photo Rejuvenation

FotoFacial/Intense Pulsed Light (IPL)® rejuvenation corrects a variety of benign skin conditions including redness caused by rosacea and broken capillary veins, brown pigmented areas, and imperfections from sun damage. This safe, non-invasive treatment also improves the texture, complexion and pore size of the face, neck, chest or hands.

During the procedure, Skin & Cosmetic Solutions applies cold gel to the area being treated and protects patients’ eyes from the bright light. The IPL hand piece emits pulses of light that change to heat energy as they reaches beneath the skin’s surface to eliminate damaged cells.

Patients typically feel a slight sting, like a rubber band snapping. Therefore, a topical anesthetic cream may be applied in the office one hour prior to a scheduled appointment. FotoFacial treatment takes 30 to 90 minutes depending on the area(s) treated but involves little or no downtime. Patients generally undergo four to six sessions and experience excellent long-term results.

A 30-minute consultation with Dr. Puente is required prior to treatment to review the procedure and necessary preparations, and to ask questions.
