ClearLight Acne PhotoClearing technology clears mild to moderate acne with no side effects, discomfort, photosensitivity or downtime. It involves the use of a high-intensity, enhanced, narrow band of visible light that permeates targeted skin tissue. This narrow band of light triggers proliferation of endogenic porphyrins, which then attack and destroy acne bacteria within the skin.

Approximately 80 percent of acne patients treated with ClearLight experienced improvement, according to a multi-center study performed by Shalita, et. Al and published in Clinical Application Notes ( Vol. 9 No.1). ClearLight can be used on any part of the body, but it most likely won’t resolve blackheads or cysts, minimize pore visibility or reduce oiliness.

ClearLight treatments are relaxing, painless, safe and take about 20 minutes. Patients typically undergo two treatments a week for four weeks, and see improvement after two or three treatments.

ClearLight results typically last four to eight months. Patients will achieve the most effective results by following the treatment plan and continuing use of prescribed medications and professionally recommended products.
