What Women Really Want Part 1: Introducing Pam!

Starting her career with Skin & Cosmetic Solutions in 1998, Pam Mandulak has now been with the company for 18 years, starting in dermatology at the check-in desk then moving to the front desk at Skin Solutions. Now, she's back at Raleigh Dermatology, this time working check-out. However, soon she'll be stepping out from behind the desk and into the chair.

As a long-time employee and advocate for our services, Pam has volunteered to undergo some of the cosmetic procedures we offer, both for her own benefit and to encourage others to try a treatment or two for themselves. Over the next couple of months, Pam will follow the recommendations of Dr. Puente, our Director and founding physician.
"He does beautiful work, you can just walk around the office and see the pictures he has taken to get a feel for his keen sense of balance and aesthetics," Pam said. "I am lucky to say that I've seen his work in action."
Pam explained that the process will start in February with a mixed treatment of fillers and aesthetic services, such as our VI peel and glycolic peel. The VI peel uses a blend of powerful ingredients suitable for all skin types to improve tone, texture and firmness of skin by reducing or eliminating blemishes like age spots, wrinkles and acne as well as by promoting collagen production. To improve the skin, a glycolic peel removes the thick outer layer of dead skin cells to improve collagen, texture, smoothness and hydration.
Pam will then undergo FRAXEL with Rejuvapen in March, laser skin tightening in April and, throughout all these procedures, she will also be given a Retinol product to use. All of these treatments focus on the neck and face, which is important to Pam, who says she's looking to reverse the sun damage she got from spending many years lying in the sun and in tanning beds. She also just had a significant birthday, which has played a role in motivating her to undergo these treatments.
"There's just some things I'd like to improve upon," she said. "I'm not trying to look 40 again, but it would be nice to look 55."
Overall, Pam said she just wants to look how she feels. Because these procedures require virtually no recovery period, it's likely that Pam will start to feel that way in no time at all.
