What’s the difference between SculpSure and CoolSculpting

You've made the decision: It's time to care for yourself, and you want to feel better in your own skin. Diet and exercise have only taken you so far, and you're ready for a non-invasive treatment to help smooth out those troublesome spots. You've heard SculpSure is stellar, and CoolSculpting rocks. So what do you do?

Never fear, we've got you covered. Here are the differences between the two treatments:

SculpSure is a non-invasive body contouring treatment that can get you up and out in approximately 25 minutes. A laser is used to target stubborn fat cells with heat and it damages them permanently. Eventually, they are removed from the body via your lymphatic system, and they cannot regrow. It has been determined that SculpSure will destroy up to 24 percent of fat cells which have been exposed to the laser heat. People who try SculpSure often want to target areas on their abdomen and sides – also known as "love handles" – where they find that diet and exercise have not helped them achieve the streamlined approach they seek.

CoolSculpting, on the other hand, is for those who like to chill – literally. Another non-invasive body contouring procedure, the treatment involves essentially freezing fat cells until they die off with a specially-designed applicator and pad. Again, this procedure is suited to targeting fat in the areas where all-natural healthy living has reached its limits, like the inner and outer thighs, abdomen and sides.

As far as which treatment is better for you, that's simply down to what your clinician suggests. Before picking SculpSure or CoolSculpting, talk with a board-certified plastic surgeon to discuss your options. But at the end of the day, it also comes down to personal preference – would you rather contour your body in the heat or in the cold?
